Who Should Come In for Advising
Appointments are designed for current Rutgers students who are taking classes at Rutgers this semester or who have taken classes at Rutgers in the past.
Prospective students should contact Undergraduate Admissions for information on the School of Arts and Sciences. There will be full-day advising sessions for incoming students (First Years and Transfer Students) over the summer. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate prospective or incoming students in individual advising sessions until the semester they begin at Rutgers. |

Types of General Advising
Deans have regular appointments and are available for short questions at the counters in each advising office:
Regular appointments are approximately 15 minutes long, and can be scheduled by calling or by coming in advance to one of the four advising centers.
Reference Deans are on duty whenever the office is open to help you solve more immediate problems and answer short questions.
In our individual advising sessions, we can help you choose a major, select courses, strategize for graduation, identify challenges and opportunities (like research), and more! Come visit us in one of our advising centers, or call us to schedule an appointment. |
