Below is a list of each major and minor program open to students following the Rutgers College Degree Requirements, along with the department that offers the program.
The major and the minor may not be selected from the same academic department.
A maximum of one course may overlap and be used to fulfill both major and minor requirements; additional overlap must be compensated for by taking additional courses in that subject.
Either the major OR the minor must be in the liberal arts.
A second major may take the place of the minor as long as one of the majors is in a liberal arts subject.
Students majoring in a subject offered by the School of Business-New Brunswick may not select economics as a minor.
Students majoring in biochemistry, biological sciences, cell biology and neuroscience, genetics and microbiology, or molecular biology and biochemistry may not select biological science or biochemistry as a minor.
