Office of Academic Services

The SAS Office for Seniors will work with you from the summer prior to your senior year through certification of your degree. We will be contacting you at several critical points in the certification process to remind you of deadlines, inform you of your status, and alert you to problems.

Ultimately, it is your responsibility to read the messages we send, respond by deadlines, and register for the correct classes and number of credits to graduate. We encourage you to meet with academic advisers in the SAS Advising Centers and in your major/minor departments to ensure that you will graduate when you expect. You need to take an active role in your graduation process.

You must be declared for the graduation cycle in which you expect to graduate or we won’t know that you expect to be reviewed. This should be done no later than the end of the semester before you expect to graduate. We only review students for the cycle that is declared, so please be sure to update your graduation date as needed.

Read ALL of the information for seniors posted on this website and check back frequently for updates. If you have questions, you can reach us at seniors@sas.rutgers.edu. We wish you well as you approach the end of your undergraduate years and move on to future opportunities.

Betty Spear, Assistant Dean and Director
Tamar Kieval Brill, Assistant Dean
Rosalie Green, Senior Administrative Assistant
