Welcome to the Rutgers University community! Located on the second floor of Lucy Stone Hall on the Livingston Campus, the Transfer Center opened in summer 2007 with the mission of assisting students who are transferring to the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University.
Walk-In Advising Hours
For information about transfer advising appointments or walk-in hours, please see the advising list (available by dean or by day of the week).
These hours are for currently registered Rutgers University students only. These hours are not open to applicants or to students who will be enrolling in Fall 2008.
The staff of the Transfer Center is committed to the academic and personal success of students and will provide a wide variety of programs and services designed to ease your transition to Rutgers University. Before we meet with you in person, we will have evaluated your previous transcript and will have interpreted it in terms of the School of Arts and Sciences distribution requirements. You will receive this evaluation in the mail.
Our staff will provide a series of programs designed to introduce you to the wide variety of academic and co-curricular opportunities available at Rutgers. We will assist you with your initial registration; provide orientation programs, academic advising and on-going support services during your first year as a Rutgers University student.
You can count on the staff of the Transfer Center to help you negotiate your new environment. Whether you are joining us from a community college or another four year college or university, we have programs designed just for you. Stop in to see us! We look forward to meeting you.
