Application for Reenrollment
Please submit this form to one of the advising centers. The deadlines for reenrollment are as follows:
- August 1 - September Reenrollment
- December 1 - Winter or January Reenrollment
- May 15 - Summer Reenrollment

Re-enrollment After a Leave of Absence
Students who leave with fewer than 60 degree credits and no declared major must return as an SAS student rather than their original (liberal arts) unit of enrollment. Under certain very limited conditions, students will be permitted to remain in their original unit of enrollment (Douglass College, Livingston College, Rutgers College, or University College). The conditions are as follows:
- The student MUST have filed for a formal Leave of Absence.
- The student MUST have been away for no more than one semester.
If a student files for a second leave of absence (or an extension of the first) before they have reached the 60 credit milestone, they will return as an SAS student.
Re-enrollment After an Extended Absence
If you are eligible to return, and have been away for more than five years, you will be re-enrolled in the School of Arts and Sciences. Although your prior credits will be applied, you will be held to all of the current degree requirements. |
