Considering post-baccalaureate study?
Students who have completed a degree from Rutgers or another four-year institution can apply to attend Rutgers either as nonmatriculating students or to earn a second degree.
In the former category, students may take a total of up to 30 credits. All coursework is E-prefixed; grades appear but they are not calculated into the undergraduate grade point average. Students are not generally eligible for financial aid as nonmatrics. In the latter category, students work towards a second major in a field other than the first degree. A minimum of 30 new credits are required, and the student must complete liberal arts coursework in addition to the new major.
For more information about our second degree and non-matriculating student programs (and deciding which program is the best fit for you), visit the Already Graduated page. Admissions information and requirements for each program are described in detail.
