Academic Standing: Success at SAS

Regardless of your current academic performance, whether you have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.4 or 1.4, college can be challenging. However, occasionally it is more difficult for some students than others and can lead to self-doubt, denial, poor academic performance and not achieving your potential. Whether you are a student new to Rutgers or a seasoned veteran on the banks of the Raritan, many students experience some academic difficulty and we have the tools to help you find success at SAS.

As of Spring 2015, there has been a change in terminology relating to the SAS Dismissal Policy, but the policy itself has not changed. What was formerly termed "First Dismissal" is now called a "Suspension". What was formerly termed "Second Dismissal" is now called "Dismissal".
