With a student population as large as the one at Rutgers University, deadlines play a large role in ensuring that students receive the services they need while teaching the importance of due dates and timelines in the workplace and life in general.
There are deadlines for most areas of student life: registration, student accounting, coursework, housing, special academic programs, etc. It is important to keep yourself apprised of these dates. In some cases, you will receive email notifications of upcoming deadlines, but in others, you may be told once and only once, and you will still be expected to abide by that information.
Here are some examples of important places to check for deadlines:
- Syllabi (both on Sakai and in paper form)
- Office of Academic Services
- Registration Dates
- Transfer Course Preapproval
- Financial Aid
- Student Accounting
If you ever have a question about deadlines and aren't sure who to ask, you can contact one of the the SAS Advising Centers and we will be happy to assist you.
