Gamma Xi Chapter
The Transfer Center at the School of Arts and Sciences is proud to present the Gamma Xi Chapter of the Tau Sigma National Honor Society at Rutgers University. Tau Sigma is a society for students that have transferred from one institution (or institutions) to another, and have shown high academic achievement during their first semester.
The purpose of the organization as stated in the constitution is: "To recognize the academic achievement of students transferring to Rutgers University from another academic institution and to encourage and promote students' involvement at Rutgers University."
The insignia of Tau Sigma is a red crest with the Greek letters Tau and Sigma superimposed and a bundle of wheat.
The letters Tau and Sigma are emblematic of transition and scholarship.
