Virtual Success: How to stand out in a virtual internship
Thursday, April 30, 2020, 02:00pm - 02:30pm

Speaker: Tom Matlock, Adjunct Professor of Career Readiness
Rutgers University School of Engineering and School of Arts and Sciences.

For college students securing an internship is an outstanding accomplishment. The experience gives students a chance to learn, contribute to the company and position themselves for a return internship or for a full-time job offer after graduation. Many students who are a part of the internship class of 2020 will participate in virtual internships making it more difficult to stand out, perform your job well and build relationships with peers and management. Join Tom for a discussion on how to position yourself for success during your virtual internship.

Tom has worked in sales and college recruiting leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, Loreal and TIAA. He has also worked as a Career Coach and Experiential Learning Lead at The Wake Forest University School of Business. He has also taught sections of Career Explorations in Arts and Sciences at the School of Arts and Sciences.
