Class of 2026 students with 2022 AP tests
We have started to receive scores for AP tests taken in 2022. We expect to have all the scores we have received evaluated by Monday, July 18. If you requested to have the College Board send the scores to Rutgers and do not see your AP credits on My Course List in Degree Navigator by Tuesday, July 19, please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
If you’ve attended New Student Orientation and registered for courses: once you see your AP credits in My Course List in Degree Navigator, you can adjust your registration to have a schedule that reflects those credits. Students should not remain enrolled in a class for which they have received AP credit. We will contact you by July 13 if we have evaluated your AP credits and your schedule needs to be adjusted. You can also contact us on First Year Live Chat if you need assistance; we are available Mondays 11:00AM to 1:00PM ET and Wednesdays 2:00PM to 4:00PM ET. Some general guidance for students who have earned a 4 or 5 on the following:
- Biology: if you are interested in a major in the life sciences, add General Chemistry, an SAS Core course, or general elective credits.
- Calculus AB: if your major requires math, register for Calculus II for Math and Physical Sciences 01:640:152. If you are a student interested in the health professions, consider Basic Statistics for Research 01:960:401.
- Calculus BC: if your major requires math, consider Multivariable Calculus 01:640:251.
- Chemistry (score: 4): if you’re considering a major that requires this subject, consider General Chemistry II 01:160:162.
- Chemistry (score: 5): if you’re considering a major that requires this subject, consider General Biology, an SAS Core course, or general elective credits.
- Economics: if you are interested in a major that requires this subject, consider the intermediate level of the course for which you earned credit. Or, if you earned credit for Microeconomics, add Intro to Macroeconomics or vice versa.
- English Language and Composition or English Literature: Please add another class so that you are registered for between 14-16 credits. You do not have to take a writing class in the fall; students can complete the SAS Core writing requirements (Revision-based writing-WCR and Discipline-based writing-WCD) in a future semester.
- Psychology: if are interested in a Psychology major, add any 300-level Psychology class such as Sensation and Perception, Cognition, Social Psychology, Personality Psychology, or Abnormal Psychology.
- For most other subjects: if you are interested in a major in/related to the subject, use Degree Navigator to identify an approriate next class for that program, contact the faculty advisor in the department, and/or contact us on First Year Live Chat. If you are not considering a major in that subject, drop the course and add a different SAS Core course or course for general elective credits.
- We strongly encourage the Byrne Seminars and First-Year Interest Group (FIGS) Seminars for general elective credits. Find them on WebReg and Schedule of Classes under subject Arts and Sciences (090).
If you are have not yet attended New Student Orientation: we will work as we can to have your scores evaluated so you can use your AP credits when creating your schedule.
Degree credit is awarded for advanced placement examination scores of 4 and 5 on the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations. Credit is not given for grades of 3, 2, or 1.
Students will need to provide an original copy of the scores directly from the College Board in order for credit to be granted. Our CEEB code is 002765.
Students should have the scores sent electronically or to the following address:

Advanced Placement in Jewish History exam administered by Yeshiva University
Students must score a 4 or above to earn credit. Each exam is worth 1.5 credits, so students who take all three parts will earn 4.5 credits. If they take parts I and II, they will earn equivalency for Jewish Society & Culture 1 (01:563:201); if they take parts II and III, they will earn equivalence for Jewish Society & Culture 2 (01:563:202) If they take I and III, they will earn elective credit, TR:T01:EC, which means the credits cannot be applied to the Jewish Studies major or minor or to the SAS Core (without exam II, they will not have covered the medieval period in Jewish History). Students who complete all three sections will get the equivalent of either JSC 1 OR 2 as well as the other 1.5 credits as elective credits.
