Do you need a Dean's Recommendation for law school, graduate school, or transfer purposes*? The Office of Academic Services writes Dean's Recommendations and Dean's Certifications for all SAS students, which:
- verify your rank in class
- provide a disciplinary clearance
- recommend you for matriculation at another institution
In order to request a Dean's Recommendation, please bring the form (if your application includes one) to an SAS Advising Center, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Dean's Recommendation forms usually take about two weeks to process, depending upon the volume of requests. Please try to give our office plenty of lead time so that we can ensure the timely arrival of your recommendation.
Students using the Common Application to transfer to another undergraduate school outside of Rutgers are processed through the Registrar's Office.
